Bournemouth-based Ceuta Healthcare, Europe’s leading outsourcing sales, marketing and logistics service provider to the health and beauty industry, has won a national SMaRT (Sales, Marketing and Retail Training) Award. It was presented to Ceuta for being the most innovative company in the reader nominated awards section.
The SMaRT (Sales, Marketing and Retail Training) Awards exist to acknowledge the excellence of the many training initiatives and sales and marketing support programmes provided by manufacturers to pharmacists and their staff in the OTC healthcare industry.
Communications International Group, with its integrated mix of community pharmacy media titles, organises this industry-leading award ceremony, to recognise the importance of good education, marketing and communication within the pharmacy sector. Readers of the pharmacy titles are asked to vote for the one company which in their opinion has demonstrated outstanding innovation in delivering either products, services or support to the community pharmacy sector during the course of 2009.
Annette D’Abreo, Deputy Managing Director of Ceuta Healthcare said: “We are very proud to have won the Innovative Company of the Year award especially as it was voted for by the readers, and we were up against global companies such as GSK, McNeil and Reckitt Benckiser.
"We work closely with our colleagues and customers in the pharmacy sector and continue to strive to be one step ahead of the competition with new ideas and concepts.
“We were also runners up for our Halos and Horns own brand range for the category marketing on a reduced budget. Our fruit smelling children’s bathing products are also very innovative and free from any additives or preservatives. We are very proud of our teams and hope to win further Awards like these to recognise the hard work and determination of our staff.”
